The "U R MR GAY" legend is an urban legend revolving around the 3-D platforming game Super Mario Galaxy. Soon after the game's release, a common joke started spreading around, primarily on the NeoGAF forums, that singling out every letter in the game's logo with a small bright star twinkle.

The fact that they changed the place of the stars on SMG2 just makes it even funnier because at one point Nintendo had a meeting where they had to address the "U R MR GAY" problem.:P. And if you read the sparkling letter backwards in super mario galaxy 2 it reads "YA I M R U". It’s not gay if it’s in outer space. Family friendly violence.
